“My favorite subjects are Computer Science, Astrophysics and Math. Astrophysics or astronomy courses are normally available only in college. In Summer 2020, I enrolled for a credit course - Foundations of Astronomy with Scholarly. The course was conducted by Professor Jamie Lombardi who is a renowned professor in this field. The classes were well structured and covered the big bang theory, gravity, celestial timekeeping, orbits, light, the birth and evolution of stars, black holes and other compact objects, dark matter and dark energy. As a part of the coursework, I also wrote a research paper that was endorsed by the professor and subsequently published. I scored highly in the course and have developed a mentor in Professor Lombardi. Scholarly’s course provided me with substantial learning as well as a firsthand experience of undergraduate studies in USA. Enrolling for an actual college course while still in high school has helped me better understand the expectations from students, the pace of study and how to engage with the professors. The overall experience has helped improve my college readiness. I would recommend the credit courses to students that are interested in learning and going the extra mile to differentiate themselves.”

“I studied Cognitive Psychology in Fall 2020 under Professor Aimee Knupsky. I plan to major in Neuroscience along with a Creative Writing minor while pursuing a pre-medical track in college. At school, I am a writer for an organization called Psych(ed) which aims to destigmatize mental illnesses. I had not seen many options for high school students desirous of pursuing neuroscience to get exposure to college level curriculum. As such, I was thrilled when I came across the Cognitive Psychology course in August 2020. Professor Knupsky is an excellent instructor and made the classes very interesting. We learnt about several mental processes including attention, perception, memory, language and problem solving. We also covered cognitive strengths, such as creativity and expertise, and weaknesses such as biases and mindlessness. This course helped firm up my thoughts about the choice of major as well as gave me exposure to college level curriculum while still in high school. I really enjoyed doing the Cognitive Psychology course and would recommend this to students interested in business or pre-medical track in college.”

“My favourite subject is Computer Science which I plan to pursue in college. I enrolled for the Core Concepts of Physics course with Scholarly in Fall 2020. My objectives were to experience real college classes, work directly with university professors and earn extra credits. I must say that the course was extremely interesting and taught well. Professor Doros Petasis is deeply knowledgeable and ensured a lot of interaction in the class. We were encouraged to ask questions and lectures were followed by a good discussion. Although we were taught Newtonian Physics, the course helped me improve my college readiness as well as gave me a good picture about what to expect in college. I would recommend the College Credit Courses to students that want to learn more and to develop their profiles.”

“I enrolled for the Core Concepts in Physics course in Fall 2020 with Scholarly. The course was taught by Professor Doros Petasis and covered various topics in Newtonian Physics. The course provided me with substantial learning as well as a firsthand experience of college studies in USA. I thoroughly enjoyed learning from Professor Petasis, the style of teaching and the overall environment. Since I was doing the credit course in the Fall semester along with my regular school classes, I had to put in an extra effort for the eight-week duration. However, the effort was entirely worth it. Apart from learning the subject, I also got to improve my college readiness and strengthen my profile. In hindsight, I am very happy to have done the Core Concepts in Physics course with Scholarly. I would recommend the credit courses to students that are interested in learning more and differentiating their profile.”

"I had my first association with Scholarly through their “Collegiate Quiz Championship” in Summer 2020. It was a fun, well organized event which not only tested many facets of knowledge but also kept students engaged during Covid lockdown. I did very well in the event and made it to the Grand Finale. Later in Fall 2020, I enrolled in a Scholarly credit course “Core Concepts of Physics” taught by Prof. Doros Petasis. This was a Calculus based course covering Newtonian Physics at college level. The teaching was of a high quality and interaction in the class was encouraged.  I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and the overall experience. The technology and mode of teaching was seamless and created the ambience of an actual classroom. I would highly recommend this course to students who aim to enhance their profile for selections to best global universities."

"My dream was to pursue my college education in Computer Science and Engineering from the USA. Although I have always been a strong student, I was worried about studies in the USA due to the significant cost involved. I had to work extra hard to differentiate my profile from other students and to stand out from the crowd. In this context I found out about Scholarly in 2020. I enrolled in the “Core Concepts of Physics” taught by Prof. Doros Petasis during the Fall semester. I enjoyed the classes and learning a college level course while still in high school. The classes were of a high quality and conducted very professionally. Professor Petasis is an excellent instructor and mentor. I earned four credits and a high grade in the course which helped strengthen my university applications. I also worked with the professor on a Research Paper which was subsequently published by Scholarly. While I had to make an enormous effort for my full-ride scholarship to New York University, the Credit Course and the Research Paper helped provide a clear differentiation and helped with the admission and scholarship decision. I would like to thank Scholarly and Professor Petasis for believing in me and for being a part of my educational journey. I wholeheartedly recommend the College Credit courses and Research Papers to students that want to study at the top universities and improve their admission applications."
